Museum Night at Narva Town Hall
Event overview
On Saturday, May 17, Narva will host the traditional Museum Night. As part of this event, the city of Narva and the Narva Museum are joining forces to offer guests fascinating tours of the Town Hall building and a pop-up exhibition featuring four paintings, united by the theme "The History of Narva Town Hall Through Portraits from Its Interior."
This exclusive exhibition, drawn from the Narva Museum's art collection, showcases unique works from the 17th and 18th centuries: majestic portraits of Narva’s nobility who played significant roles in the city’s life during the 18th century, as well as a rare late 17th-century painting symbolizing justice, originally created for the interior of Narva Town Hall during Swedish rule. This opportunity to view the artworks is particularly valuable, as the Narva Art Gallery is currently closed for renovations until early August.
