Event overview

At the end of March - beginning of April, Narva Museum offers the last mobile educational program of this academic year, dedicated to folk traditions. This time, we will discuss the most important festival – Easter. In a song-and-game format, the museum's folklorist, Marina Kuvaitseva, will help explain why Easter is considered the most significant spring celebration, how the traditions of celebrating Easter are similar across different cultures, what treats are traditionally prepared for this holiday, and the symbolic meanings hidden in Easter songs and games.

The program supports the idea of the "School of Movement," and in addition to the theoretical part, participants will enjoy active games, dance elements, and even a folkloristic recitative, which is similar to modern musical genres.

The program is suitable for students in grades 4-9.

The program takes place on the client's premises in educational classrooms.

Duration: 45 minutes.

Cost: €4 per participant.

*For Ol'gina - €5, in Narva-Jõesuu, Sillamäe, and Sinimäe - €6.
