Starting from May 2025, the Narva Museum invites residents and guests of Estonia to join a fascinating excursion in the resort town of Narva-Jõesuu — a unique gem on the Baltic coast, home to Estonia’s longest sandy beach, where natural beauty, tranquility, and cultural heritage come together.
Sometimes, we just want to hit pause, take a deep breath, and stroll through a place where time seems to slow down. Narva-Jõesuu — a quaint town by the Baltic Sea — is the perfect destination to unwind, reset, and live in the moment. We’ll walk down charming narrow streets, admire historic wooden villas, listen to stories carried by the sea breeze, and share interesting facts about the town’s development as a resort. You’ll learn what ailments were treated at the famous water and mud therapy centers, enjoy the landscapes that inspired renowned artists and writers, and dive into the history of Soviet-era sanatoriums, once considered a luxury getaway.
